DrDaryl @yahoo.com (Brahman-Atmananda http://www.onegreatpower.org)
joined the list around Jan 3, 2003.
He wrote a post on January 5th which I calmly, respectfully disagreed with. He responded by calling me mildly insulting names (moron, idiot). Angelique said if he continued he would have to be moderated. He then voluntarily unsubscribed.
The next day he returned with letters impersonating our own e-mail addresses, using these posts to escalate his insults to list members with homophobic and other insulting remarks, both on the list and in private letters. While impersonating others' e-mails, he began to slander people. (among other things he called me a hooker, which rather amused me but was certainly slanderous.) He sent private insulting letters reducing some members to tears.
He escalated into making veiled threats to several of us, the gist of which being that he would get even with us.
We did a search for him on the internet and discovered he is quite notorious.
Despite our complaints to Yahoo, instead of censoring him, the troll managed to convince Yahoo to erase our site, thus our move to a new home. It was an interesting but disturbing interlude! :))
Love, Hillary
