I would respectfully suggest that there are many ways Kundalini Shakti, the awakening of spiritual energy, can manifest itself. While Swami Shivom Tirth says in *A Guide to Shaktipat* that "all chakras are pierced similtaneously to various degress," he goes on to say, "Work on some chakras could be so slow that one may not experience anything. Some other chakra may be pierced through more intensely..."

That may have been your experience, but your experience is not a universal one. Some of us have more gradual experiences.

Sure, maybe. But why are you so intent on discounting others' experiences?

Not always. K energy can engulf the entire body with no ill effects.

Not so that there is "no coming down from there." Many teachers suggest bringing the energy back down to the heart. Sri Ramana Maharshi says in *Talks,* [sorry for the long quote, but the message is important]
"If one concentrates on the Sahasrara there is no doubt that the ecstasy of samadhi ensues. The vasanas, that is the latencies, are not however destroyed. The yogi is therefore bound to wake up from the samadhi, because release from bondage has not yet been accomplished. He must still try to eradicate the vasanas in order that the latencies yet inherent in him may not disturb the peace of his samadhi. So he passes down from the sahasrara to the heart through what is called the jivanadi, which is only a continuation of the Sushumna. The Sushumna is thus a curve. It starts from the solar plexus, rises through the spinal cord to the brain and from there bends down and ends in the heart. When the yogi has reached the heart, the samadhi becomes permanent. Thus we see that the heart is the final centre."
