Your friend is quite mistaken. Our parents don't tell
us God is real, Jesus and the Bible does, and He and
it told our parents as well. And actually, Saint
Nicholas was a real person too. In old times he
performed a miracle by resurrecting 3 children that a
murderer had boiled in a cauldron.
Furthermore, God loves everyone, regardless of their
sins. He feels sorry for us, and it saddens Him to see
His children lost, but he always loves us.
