God/dess can't be god/dess if it needs defending.
God is so defenseless he needs someone to look out for him and plead his
case. As if...Sounds like god's a wimp if we think that. Doesn't sound like
a very attractive fellow to know.
If we defend our position it is a cover for weakness.
Apology is not a good defense for the All mighty. Makes him look like a
victim at the mercy of his followers' whims and desires. Hmmmm...better go
out and kill those infidels because they hurt god's feelings and his honor
is violated. Bad people for bullying god around and asking questions his
followers think are stupid and disrespectful. If god can't handle questions,
it ain't god. Rather than defending god's position it might be best for us
to look inside why we think it is important to defend god even to the point
of killing people who don't agree. Outrageous thinking? It doesn't take much
to go from slinging words to slinging rocks to slinging knives to slinging
bullets and missiles Besides they are all going to hell for their unbelief
anyway. We just help them along to get there a little faster.
I ask anybody, whether pagan, christian, muslim, buddhist, hindu etc, why is
it so important that as a person we feel we have to defend god's honor,
existence, and hurt feelings. Apologetics...why do we even need it? I didn't
know god was susceptible to intimidation from strangers although his
believers seem to like to use it. If there was no one to believe in their
personal god, would that god exist?
