Wow I'm glad you brought this up., mychick!
I hope there is a lot of input on this one.
I think this is one of the downfalls of us as human beings.
We do separate them and we put them in boxes to be used
at different times and with different people.
Can we even imagine the love and feelings that would abound if we
didn't put these different definitions on sex,love and energy?
The way the world is set up, sex is sex and love is love and sometimes
shared with sex...but spiritual love energy is something entirely different.
I've seen the most spiritual people be very limited in their ability to
share
their spiritual energy because of separating them. I'm thinking monogamy
has limited our sexual expression (which is probably good) but it has also
limited our spiritual energy expression for fear of being accused of it
being sexual. Society has made these rules, no?
Is that where you were going with this discussion, Rick? When I first
read your email, it seemed that you were more afraid of being hurt because
you tell someone that you like them. Seemed like you thought that on a
subconscious
level it made you uncomfortable for some reason. Have you been hurt before?
After
you made the commitment of telling them you loved them?
Is it that you are expecting your declaration of love to mean something
specific to them
and if it doesn't, then you get hurt? Expectations are
our worst enemy waiting to stab us in the heart.
