what a wonderful thing to be troubled...or irritated as you say.
*really* it's an invitation to knock-off some dead stuff.
morals are how we regard or respond to others. that one claims right
judgment as this & another as that is nothing more than blindness.
that you find ought with your friend may speak to your partaking of the
same poison fruit, knowledge of good & evil. good news is this is an
opportunity to undo a knot.
would you hold a blind man guilty when he stepped in puddle ?
would you be irritated if a cute blind girl complimented your looks ?
at first you might feel vindicated "cute girl thinks I'm cute" then
you might realize she's blind & so were you. anyway point is,
your affectedness isn't so much about them, it's about you.
Truth is, we see so dimly. Truth comes when we surrender, give ourselves
over, to that which is greater. there we know. anything less is just a
picture not the place...be thankful above all you've been invited to go
not just look.
judge (examine) yourself rather than others, refuse their standards.
then finding yourself free, show the way by not just words (pictures) but
by your life. that's moral & indeed good.
might ask your churched friend who knows what's good (moral)
about mark 10:18...maybe he'll get what you know.
