Subject: [K-list] Void

Scientifically speaking (i.e. physics) a void is absolute emptiness with no
qualities whatsoever. I believe that there is a discussion as to whether a
true void is possible, as there are all kinds of energies that pass through
space at any time. Supposedly you can find 'void' spaces out in deep
outerspace, but if light can pass through a void space (i.e. you can see
objects on the other side of the void), then its not a true void because
light is passing through, and other types of radiation.
If you are utterly alone, you are still not in a void, because 'you' are
still there, thus its not a true void.
What we are talking about I think is that your consciousness is lacking any
external incoming stimulus, so you are completely left by your self, or
maybe even you are just pure consciousness without access to internal
incoming stimulus (memories, sensory data, internal feelings, etc.).
Consciousness is like a mirror, whatever is reflected on it is what you are,
so if you have no external/internal incoming stimulus, then you may be
reflecting qualities of nothingness. I doubt it would be a true nothingness
though, there are still probably emotions and feelings of aloneness, fear,
etc. coming through, so you still haven't experienced true nothingness, just
mostly nothingness and background 'samskaras' and feeling states.
