Yes. Nadi Shodana (Psychic network purification) stimulates Sushumna. It
does so by balancing Ida and Pingala so they flow evenly, and then with
breath retention, the energy goes into sushumna. It's also a really good
preparation for K since it opens up and clears many of the nadis. Or as in
the case of many of us here, practice it to help K on her way. =)
Ida and Pingala represent the two halves of the walnut (I love that imagery
of the brain btw, lol, beautiful)
