In the mirror of this existence
Subsistence
Becomes the reality
Dreamed of forever in the
Darkness and the shadows
As gold loop earrings
Dangling
Like raindrops
On the faceless masks
Of our destiny
A façade so daintily camouflaged
Greens and blacks all hues
Of secrets melted away
By the lining so silvery
Yet scarlet under neath
Facing the truth of
The sirens and light shows
The incandescent beams of
Smiles and frowns alike
Soldered on to the walls
Giant invisible murals
Imperceptible yet exposed
To the one naked eye
Slithering up and down
The messages in one ear and out
The other side
Steady streams of light
Illuminating all within reach
The impossibility of it all
A bit too vague to grasp
Still a wonder
Outside the empty box
Within which
The rest of us
Reside
