The advanced form of Khechari where you cut through the frenulum must be
done very, very gradually, a little bit at the time, and with ensurance that
you don't cause infections. Also, it can cause problems with speech and such
if not done carefully. This is why it is rarely even mentioned in detail in
the yogic texts, because you need guidance to do it. I would not recommend
it. =) The khechari mudra performed in Ajapa Japa and Kriya Yoga is the easy
version, but with practice it can give pretty good results.. At least that's
what those who have done it for a while say. I only perform it once in a
while, so I can't really say much about it. =) Don't cut your tongue though,
hehe.
