Hi Tony,

Yes, the inner Guru is wonderful. Kundalini taught me almost everything
I needed to know. (I just needed to cultivate an attitude of wonder and
surrender.) Years later I am reading textbooks of scriptures and
practices to place my experiences in context with what the adepts have
written about for thousands of years. There are many parallels to my
experiences with shakti and what is written. More coincidences than can
be just attributed up to chance.

 This tells me that kundalini rising is a natural process, like being
born. It can be scary because it is new and different. I would suggest
one looks at fear as belief as something bad is going to happen. I would
look at faith as belief as something good is going to happen. Naturally,
faith appears to be the better way. Knowing that k is good for the body
and our development is comforting.

You can also take another way by just being present in the now with
these experiences and having and cultivating this attitude of wonder and
amazement at what is happening to you. Then fear or faith is not
appropriate.

It sounds like from what little you have shared that you are on the
right track. Panic attacks are not uncommon because the adrenals go into
overdrive when k starts to come up, pumping up adrenaline into the body.
Calm quiet environments help. Keep away from anything that stimulates
that response anymore. Also, conversely, exercise or increased activity
helps because it will burn off the adrenaline pumping in your system.
You need to listen to your body to tell you what you should do that is
most appropriate for you in the moment. You will be able to hear it tell
you once you begin to practice listening.

Also keep your tongue up to the roof of your mouth (right behind the
teeth at the gum line.) This helps the energy that circulates up your
back to circulate down your front in an orbit of energy. It keeps the
energy from getting stuck in your head and shoulders.

Drink a lot of water. Half your weight in ounces. IOW, 150 pounds then
drink 75 ounces of water a day. Kundalini ascent can dehydrate the body
and there is also a release of a lot of toxins. Good to keep the body
hydrated for flushing toxins and to promote optimum chemical reactions
in your body.

Yes, you're losing your identity and creating a new one. This is to be
expected for that is a byproduct of the process. Actually, you are
becoming more of who you really are. Old things are falling away.

Your body will move in different ways to accommodate the energy moving
through your body (kriyas).
