Actually, Kate, as I just wrote I am surprised about how many k people I
have run across who have probs with bipolar, ADHD, and schizophrenia. We
do have more than a few on this list who do have symptoms of these
things and are being treated.
Some of them are beloveds of mine.

Having been on this list almost from it's beginning in 96 I can say this
just from observing the k population who comes and goes. So I think your
question is very apropos for discussion on this list.

I found this interesting because I was going to ask a similar question
(haven't gotten around to it).

I am actually bipolar I. They have found bipolar disorder and ADHD are
the
same gene (as is schizophrenia, if I remember correctly).

I was curious as well how many people on the list have been diagnosed
with
psychiatric disorders - although I understand fully what a personal
thing
that is, it is just a curiosity. My K awakened very early and without
provocation, and happened about the same time I started having "trouble"
with my disorder.

I am now fully medicated and I do not feel that with my current regimen
it
has affected my creativity or my energy whatsoever, although old
regimens
did. I am quite happy and alive.

I have many other theories on bipolar disorder and other mental
disorders/what they mean or are, but I imagine that is a discussion for
a
list on such things. :)
