A common cause, or so I've read, and which makes sense to me because I have
to deal with it, is some sort of blockage
in the throat chakra (symbolic of course). Think about it - when you are
as hunched over as me in front of a computer
all day (bad posture etc) - i have noticed a tendency to tilt the head
forever, putting strain on the neck and shoulders, and
"compressing" the area around the throat chakra. ok, i need to fix my
posture... but what if you did this all the time -
this sort of posture reflects a inability or reluctance to communicate (a
stereotype perhaps, but there is probably some grain of truth
in it). A different career (for me) that didn't involve computers and I
had to talk to people more would undoubtedly help.
as to the surrender part, surrendering possibly means not keeping things so
bottled up - express yourself / unblock that chakra /etc.
I have no idea if this applies to you, Rick, but perhaps it could give you
some insight
