I always love this quote:
"The god of the cannibals is a cannibal." Emerson
We can only describe things in the experience that we already have.
There is so much more, infinitely more beyond that.
And yes, the way I explain things like this is we are all Immortal
Perfect Beings interacting with this 3D world with an imperfect
interface in our environmental 3D meat suit.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Essence that inhabits the suit
but sometimes the suit has it's own faulty programs.
Part of life is erasing those faulty programs, recognizing and cleaning
out the viruses so life can be more enjoyable.
Among my other k friends, seems like they are mostly women, we talk
about "downloading" info from the universe. We may not recognize what
this big chunk of data that comes in but it sure makes it self known
later at better times.

Chelle,
Nietsche once said that we created God (or any object of faith) in our
own
image to fend away the notion that we were alone and fragile in this big
bad world (paraphrasing, of course). Perhaps computing is our way of
modeling the processes and fixtures of thought into a machine medium.
Consider --
Any computer has 3 basic functions:
- input (accept commands, keystrokes, sensor data)
- process (perform calculations, filter data, trend data)
- output (usually to screen or printer, or possibly to other devices
for
action)
Any human brain has 3 basic functions:
- input (senses mostly)
- process (filter data, perform calculations, factor in emotions,
predict outcomes)
- output (usually in the form of actions)
Food for thought, no?
