This is in response to ShawnGrey's email about 2012
This is what i was thinking in class today.
we've been waiting for 2000 to come along. we've seen it coming since the
70's. oh wow , it's going to be great , year 2000 , oh boy. what a great thing
for humanity. how great it's going to be.
so yea.... the 90's happen and we get all happy that we are doing all this ,
the world's changing , how eventful (how traumatic to be growing up in all of
this). oh boy , 2000 is coming up , how great , what's it going to be like.
10 , 9 , 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, ,2 ,1 2000!!!!! yay , it's the new millenium. oh
wow , how great. ..... oh neat... it's 2000 , great. i'm stoked. it's the
future .. laser guns.... flyin cars... ..... ..... .... .. ummm .... al queda...

oh man. wait. what the hell just happened. we were all excited and now....
crap. it's 2000.
so now what.... ummm , think back to the 90's ... how innocent we were , how
easy it was , oh , the 90's ... oh boy... that was great. good times.
to me , it's like breaking up with a girl . looking forward to getting to
know good ol' mother earth in year 2000 and then having the girl totally change
unexcpetedly.
we were on our horse. yaaa! yaa! ONWARD TO 2000!!! YEA. then we pass the
turnpike to 2000 ... 9\11.... crap. we keep on riding , but our minds and our
heads turn to the past. oh man , that past was really something.
so in conclusion.... i'm thinking we are still riding and part of ourSelves
is thinking "shouldnt i be looking forward to the potential that we all know we
have?". by my estimate , everyone should have their head out of their asses
(pardon the expression, maybe you like "looking to the future") by 2012.
the time will ahve been spent movign on from the past , forgetting trauma's
and making the changes that must be made in order for our society to move
forward to 3000!!! YAY 3000, oh , wait , history repeats itself.... not if everyone
really learns from the past. make sense?
