Dear Earth Angel,
When you are stuck the way you are, depression is a kind of inner
compacting and burning, like what happens in a pressure cooker. It takes
incredible degrees of fortitude to stand it. My heart goes out to you.
And Depression has many causes, on spiritual, emotional and physical planes.
It can mean that your orientation towards life is reversed in a big way so
your energy is all backed up in your heart, making it feel "depressed".
Your energy body can be all compressed and disrupted, which feels painful.
Again, it takes courage to make changes to reverse things.
Do you do yoga or tai chi or some other physical discipline? Those help a
great deal. Things like "Energy Medicine" , EMDR, or Energy Tapping are
also very effective with depression. The idea is to get your energy moving
and unstuck.
People say, "Why are you depressed" as if there has to be a reason. "Oh,
because I'm stuck in a dead-end relationship". Maybe, maybe not. Maybe its
beyond all that.
Maybe depression is the universe's gift for you at this time. But what I
found from my 15 years of depression was this. The "answer" to my
depression lay outside of the boundaries of who I was at the time. I had to
change - and my ego had to crack wide open (not to mention my heart) before
the depression moved.
