Absolutely one should use discernment! :)) If you don't feel the time is
right, the energy will generally let you know in no uncertain terms whether you
are correct or not! :)
Personally, though, I tend to make the jump of faith that the energy knows
best-- without my waiting for a rebuttal! I'm not brave enough to fight against
my better nature!
But I certainly do not mean that one should surrender to whatever we feel the
energy is "telling" us to do. We often tend to mis-translate the
energy--which can cause very ungrounded behavior. I simply try to remember to relax and
let the energy work physically on me even when it can be uncomfortable and/or
result in fairly strange cognitative experiences.
*Acting* on the energy is something quite different! Often the energy is
misinterpreted. For example mental hospitals are full of those who believe they
are God or Jesus Christ. Perhaps on one level they are--but this culture does
not make room for those who can't maintain some semblance of
traditionally/socially acceptable behavior. This is where discernment is crucial.
Just my way of dealing.
