Funny, I was thinking of writing a post on this topic relating it to
what I said about how easy it is to code intention into symbols or objects.
Guess we are in sync.
I have a lovely collection of crystals and stones, selected over a
period of many years, and I have done crystal healing that had
extraordinary effects.

Stones can carry various energies, some their own and some they absorb
from the environment. Goddess is in all that is, so everything has some
sort of consciousness in it that you can connect to in meditation. The
natural consciousness of stone, seems sleepy to our awareness, because they
move through time so much more slowly and have very little of free will. A
stone is aware that it is Goddess being a stone, and it is often not aware
of much else unless it has been used as an object of meditation by humans
and "Woken up."
Crystals are unique among stones because they are more "alive." They
grow, like living things, and can be seen to change visibly. They have some
sentience, and a will of their own, without forgetting that they are
unified with Goddess. When selecting crystals for healing work, be sure to
ask each crystal if it is willing to do the job you ask of it. They work
better if you respect their sentience.
Some crystals, like quartz have a definite vibration of their own, and
some also "sing" in resonance with what is around them. Remember quartz
watches? Send energy into a quartz crystal and it will vibrate at a
specific frequency you can keep time by. Going farther back, crystal set
radios. A "crystal" radio is made by picking up ambient radio waves with an
antenna and channelling them through a Galena crystal, which transforms
radio waves back into sound vibration you can hear, without using electricity.

Now science is getting into crystal information storage, someday your
computer hard drive may be replaced with a crystal. The ancient Mayans did
that already, they carved quartz into a skull shape and encoded all kinds
of vibrational information into it, which can be "read" by intuition.
Some of us refer to "the language of energy." Energy speaks a
language, and is a language that can be difficult to express in words.. so
sorry if this post seems clumsy and unclear. The ironic thing is, it will
be crystal clear to anyone who speaks the language of energy, because the
information in the words is expressed more clearly by the energy of the
post... and someone who already speaks the language, does not need the
information!!
So much of what is called "secrets" is only secret to someone who does
not speak the language the information is written in... and words
themselves are only a carrier for the energy information.
A galena crystal and a psychometrist perform the same job, galena picks
up radio waves and transforms them back into words and music. A
psychometrist picks up energy vibrations and hears or sees the people,
places and things associated with the object she is holding. We all
radiate our energy all the time, leave it behind all over stuff. A
psychometrist reads the vibrations left behind, like a CSI reads the DNA we
leave on everything we touch. (CSI = crime scene investigator = popular TV
drama.)
Working with crystals is a good way to learn to speak the language of
energy, it is their language. It is a non verbal language that your
unconscious translates into a form you can understand: words, feelings,
imagery.
It is all about energy, which is vibration. "In the beginning, there
was the word" OOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Vibration, and the universe
born of that.
Energy as particles and waves, with longer and shorter wave patterns.
The chakras are like the musical scale, there is a note associated with
each chakra just as there is a colour. Colour is different frequencies of
light waves. Low notes have a longer vibrational wave pattern than high
notes do. Different vibrations have different qualities. The low note of a
foghorn can travel through fog for a great distance. Ella Fitzgerald can
sing a high note that will shatter glass, because the vibration is
incompatible, the integrity of the glass is shattered by the vibration of
the high note. Glass is not meant to vibrate at such a frequency, it
explodes. Hospitals use the same effect for some kinds of medicine, the
modern treatment for kidney stones is to use ultrasonic vibration to break
them up so they can pass. Some crystals can do the same thing with chakra
blockages.
So, crystals have properties: sentience, resonance, capacity for
information storage, to be a transformer, and vibration. So do we!
Some crystals resonate well with some chakras, and the vibration of the
crystal can be used to tune the vibration of the chakra, like a tuning fork
vibrating from the sound of a guitar string, or vise-versa. Tibetan bells
and crystal chakra bowls do the same thing, but audibly.... and there is
the exploding glass effect of the stuff that is not in alignment with that
vibration breaking up and falling away. Works like a sonic jewellry or
contact lens cleaner. Vibration breaks up the dirt and shakes it off.
Hmm, I have more to write on this topic, but inspiration has left me
for the day. I think it is partly because I have about 60 lbs of several
kinds of soap I made sitting behind me, after cutting 4 batches into dozens
of bars last night... and the combined scent and energy of them is
distracting me with fits of ecstasy. I just want to go lie down and bliss
out for a while... then get up and make more soap!
PS: some types of stones, especially coloured types of quartz like
rose quartz, amethyst and citrine should not be left in direct sunlight
because the colour will fade.
