Does anyone work with crystals, and other stones ?

How do they work on our consciousness ? How do they break down the blocks
in our system ? What is the relationship between the two.

I was recently told the story about someone who wore a stone (pink quartz I
think) which lost all of it's colour, and became white. This may be related
to anger, perhaps the anger became embedded in the stone, if so is the
balance like a see saw ?
