Everyone's energy moves at states,
I find that most peoples is lower then mine, Our natural instinct is to
become attuned to the same level, When in a train or in a public place it is
difficult not to get lowered, Then I feel bad and it takes awhile to
recover, In small groups it is easier because you can raise the energy,
Especially with friends you can raise it and keep it raised, This helps the
other people as well as you, Because then you are not constantly battling
the change, And then trying to recover from getting lowered, I don't know
why but this has affected a lot more since my k got active, Before then I
could quite happily walk down the street and not get hit by the constant
changes in energy rate.
Also nature and natural things have a nice calming energy which seems to
help counter these effects, I don't know whether it will be always like
this, What I do know is that as I get stronger in myself others around me
are also helped.

I've struggled with this over the years as well. Most recently I spent
three days in a PEAT processor training (www.spiritual-technology.com)
which further enhanced my sensitivity to other people's energy. I found
that I was being blasted by negative energy and trampled by energy
vampires the first few days back at work.
As my blissful state mellowed out and I learned to deal with my more
sensitive antennae I went back to what I have been following lately,
which is to observe, learn and love.
The points I try to follow daily (from my upcoming book!) are:
Attachments - drop them (and observe expectations)
Humility - respect and honesty (and observe your ego)
Lessons - look for them
Present Moment - live in it
I try to look for the spiritual component in every encounter with another
person, even in a business setting. There is always one. When people spew
their negative energy, observe and learn. These are wonderful
oppportunities.
Finally, look elsewhere for deep, meaningful spiritual relationships.
Perhaps you will find some in your work environment, but you may need to
find them elsewhere. Some work environments are replete with spiritual
people, but most, sadly, are not.
I've not seen any good books on this, but have thought about it and
discussed it somewhat in classes I've led. I'm also beginning work on a
psychology degree and this is an aspect of my studies I wish to look at.
