Has anyone else on this list read "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz? I find that the wisdom of the Toltec Path as it applies to dealing with self and others is invaluable. It may go a long way to helping some deal with anger and understanding the effect others have on us and why.
According to the author, the only way to end our emotional suffering and restore our joy in living, is to stop believing in lies, and the four agreements are a simple, easily understood way to do this.
I first read The Four Agreements several years ago, and I must admit that it has made my life make more sense and have more meaning. I find that my anger results from the disparity between my spiritual life and my physical life (reality), as well as some impatience with intelligent people who refuse to awaken.
I have just finished reading his new book, "The Voice of Knowledge" and am even more convinced that this man has knowledge that needs to be heard.
As a Spiritual Warrior, I am constantly looking at other belief systems, but have avoided Christianity, the faith I was raised in. Someone gave me a Bible last week (I definitely wouldn't have bought one myself) and I start at Genesis. This book makes no sense whatsoever to me. It is full of contradictions and impossibilities. In his new book, Don Miguel Ruiz begins by explaining the story of Adam and Eve in a way that makes more sense to me. It has enabled me to see the truth in the Bible, between the lies.
It doesn't hurt that the Toltec Wisdom works with all belief systems and religions and accepts all religions as having Truth.
For the last several weeks, I have been visited by many birds, as well as chipmunks, mice and squirrels. I recently took a Shamanic Power Journey and was told that my power animals are eagle and mouse. Hmmmm ..... maybe something there. According to many, birds or bird feathers as well as butterflies are messages from departed loved ones or spirit guides. Maybe we should start paying attention as it seems that this is an event that is occurring for many not just a few.
