I have a question about mantras. Mystress talked about
how mantras (with respect to reiki symbols) can get
tainted with people's thoughts and can start carrying
them. So what about the mantras that people have used
for thousands of years, stuff that has been handed
down through Yogis and the Buddha...
is it true that it is the intention behind chanting
the mantra that works, so the mantra (the sound
vibration) is actually not the cause of the increased
energy and chakra openings, but instead tricks the
mind, or is it both?
Also, if the sound mantras emanated from the core of a
being lost in samadhi ( as thats how i think mantras
came about, the yogi's "insides" started to vibrate to
some tone, like the OMKARA which he then handed down
to others) doesnt it come from the godhead? so in
effect, its beyond getting tainted....
Barbara Brennen, in her books mentions about the three
inner energy dimensions that define physical existence
and health...
the Auric field as we all know it (has seven layers of
energies governing different aspects of self), then
there's the haric or intention level...which defines
ones clarity with life's purposes and the more aligned
the more mentallly and physically clear is the
individual about his/her life's tasks....
and the core star which is the essential godhead
within all of us...so, as we go thru life and clear
our misconceptions of separation from the con
nectedness and oneness with all, this star light gets
brighter and brighter....
has anyone here experiemented with energy and also
percieved these dimensions? I just thought it was
worth summarising here for all because i see a lot of
confusion with purpose amongst us here (torn between
letting go, detachment, and actively pursuing living
because it makes a difference to the whole world) so
maybe there are these levels that one needs to know
that may need "fixing" to resolve the "lostness" and
get filled with more purpose?
