Very good question.

First, people would wake up at the usual time because out of habit,
that's what gets imprinted on us. Then they would arrive at work at
little off schedule, but that should be ok... for a while.

Lunch time... go home time... meeting somebody??

People would start getting nervous. We've been programmed for
the past 400 years by clocks and it's hard to break out of the chronology
cult.

How attuned and dependant is civilization on the constructs of hours,
minutes
and seconds? We've been counting seasons, suns and moons long before
the invention of the clock. Rome was not built in a day, but it *was*
built without a Timex, Rolex or Casio. The pessimist in me thinks that
we've lost the art of organic chronology and that the western world would
be a very unsteady place without clocks. It would be a good experiment,
though.
