I believe that benzos are the treatment of choice for
ringing ears and annoying visuals. Clonapin is just
about the strongest. Slowed down speach and some
slurring can happen on the larger doses so its usually
prescribed for epillepsy.

I've seen forums on the web about meds for visuals and
ringing - and you will see some unfortunate post
halucinagenic perceptual disorder (phpd) cases there -
Maybe they have activated K?
