Subject: [K-list] Albert!!! A few more responses
From: Bhavin Desai

[Thanks to a personal email request from Albert, I have made some time
to respond to his and a few more emails. Also thanks to Hillary for
encouragement and appreciation. Namaste to everyone.]

Quickly responding to some more emails (from various authors) at once,
perhaps in random order, prefixed with "[BD] ":

[BD] ------------------------------

> It's kshetram is in the front of the neck, at the throat pit or
thyroid...
> Some advanced language there. Kshsetram means trigger point, ...

[BD] In Sanskrit: Kshetram (literally) means field, region, area.

[BD] ------------------------------

> Is it possible to cause other people to vomit if I focus on, or block
the
> process? I remember focussing on the throat a while back and seeing
someone
> actually vomit. It happened at least three times, so I stopped doing
it.

[BD] Classically, philosophically, there is no *necessary* causal
relation between a bird settling on a branch and a fruit falling at that
exact moment. Why should you stop? Why don't you practice in private,
away from others? Let other people enjoy their shaktipat. People
progress at different rates depending on various factors and karma.

[BD] ------------------------------

> was feeling had been described. But still I was
> without a guide and followed where my heart guided me.

[BD] Who says that a guide has to be a person or something physical?
[BD] Try researching classical yoga texts like Hatha Yoga Pradipika,
Gheranda Samhita, Mahabharata, Ramayana, etc. There is a lot of useful
practical information available (books, internet, inner space, etc).

[BD] ------------------------------

> I just close my eyes and drown in the silent
> vibration that I feel in my head and body.
> Sometime back as I did this I heard sounds like
> gnmm-gnommmm-gnommm.

[BD] That's it!!! You are perceiving the Om-kar sound.
[BD] Congratulations. There is more progress to come.

[BD]------------------------------

> I tend to agree that the experiences are very different, but using sex
as
> metaphor as you have done, is as close as we can come to describe the
> orgasmic K experience.

[BD] Yes Kundalini and sex are similar, but quite different. Kundalini
is much more blissful, usually less intense, and lasts much longer!!!

[BD]------------------------------

> I've found out recently that I was born with my Kundalini awakened
[BD] Excellent.

> In my case, I never had a MASTER for K. or tantra practice
[BD] How do you know? Does a teacher have to be a physical person?
[BD] Note that later on you do say that you previously had a master.

> a lot emails seem to say such hard and terrible things about K.
> awakening and nobody says the good things that can also happen
[BD] Please see the archives for my messages to this list for my good
experiences. I have had excellent results via the Yoga of Swami Dev
Murti Ji. Yoga and Kundalini have done nothing bad for me and only
good.

> if at one point in their life, they had a master and is it useful.
[BD] Yes it is extremely useful to have a master, or even an ordinary
teacher. As in sport, for example, the master or teacher or coach does
not have to be better than you, because their primary purpose is to
provide direction, motivation, and guidance. Would you go driving if
someone had not taught you???

> a friend of mine...tells me that at one point, I still need a master
[BD] Correct.

> For your information: I've never pratice any kind of yoga or
meditation.
> I've just live, work, raise my family, love my wife and have fun
[BD] And how is that NOT yoga? Yoga is Union with Nature. Yoga is not
just physical exercises.
[BD] Yoga is a natural process. Kundalini is a natural process.
However, if you have a garden then you can tend the weeds/flowers/grass
and get a good result, or you can neglect everything and get a bad
result. In any natural process, some knowledge, control and discipline
is required. This is usually provided by a teacher/master.
[BD] Yoga is 1% inspiration from the teacher and 99% perspiration of the
student.

> In a previous life, I have already practiced tantra, my K. was
> activated and I was a shaman so this correlates with what Bhavin wrote
[BD] Excellent. You have certain responsibilities in this respect.

------------------------------

> I am extremely convinced that if I am meant to have a true GURU/MASTER
that
> will guide me at every step, I will find him, and he will find me.
[BD] Who says that there has to be just one Guru/Master?
[BD] Who says that your Master has to be there constantly?
[BD] You can/may have several/many Masters. Free your mind.
[BD] The Masters say "Learn Everything, No Question".
[BD] Classically, "when the student is ready the master will appear".

> Shivaya Namah!
[BD] Om Namah Shivaya.
