I agree entirely with you up to a point, where the self is concerned there
are no problems, for we have already stepped on the road towards a better
place (us being in this list as an example).
I am more concerned though with those people who live there lives in
confusion and pain, surely if we have the knowledge that can help people
that are as we call mentally disturbed, schizophrenic and others form of
mental and physical illness, then we should try at least to show them
another road, whether that be religious, metaphysical, or scientific.
It is of course up to them to decide whether they even think about or step
on the path we show them, but if we can with explanations help someone that
leads a less rich life then we do, we should.
I understand entirely what you are saying there has always been a unhealthy
use of the word 'why' for all of us, and yes we do not need to have
everything explained, for us to live happily.
But without explanation there is little conversation and without
conversation we can become cut off from even ourselves.

My two cents,
Our lives all evolve toward the experience of the Divine Infinite.
Words are and always have been unable to explain define or give the
experience of the Divine. The srife of mankind has always been the result
of attempts to define Divine and the inevitable process of believing that
each groups interpetation is Divine and therefore any different set of words
is other. There is no other as all is the same energy and experienced by
those willing to surrender their desire to believe themselves to by
different. Perhaps those of us who experience Divine Love do all of mankind
a disservice by attempting to give an explanation and interpetation. We
know full well that setting to words our attempts to explain, create the
very strife in man that our explanations of Divine love are trying to
alleviate. Humans most reveered accomplishment is our intellect yet it is
our worst enemy as it is our haven of beliefs that is the illusion
seperating us from the oneness and Divine state of being. The intellect
can however be used as observer of self and if directed within heal the
emotional memories stored in our DNA.
