Hi friend,
He was correct there is no need for kundalini to be realized. In fact I
highly recommend you ignore it and continue with your normal spiritual
practices, but if it awakens by itself then that's good. But don't try to
awaken it. What we really are, the soul, or the atman or self, is far beyond
the kundalini. You can attain realization by bhakti yoga for example.
Sincerely,

Subject: [K-list] kundalini is it necessary and advisable?
Hi friends,
This is my first mail and hence a small intro about myself as well I am 24
yr well educated and highly interested in spirituality. I stay in india and
would be visiting Kumbha Mela ujjain 2004. I hope everybody understand the
importance of this mela. Is any one also planning a visit to ujjain .
Now about kundalini
Raman Maharashi, an divine soul who attained self -realization , a great
janani said that kundalini awakening is not necessary for self realization.
I want to know your comments and experience whether kundalini has helped you
realise yourself
