We had Jung, addressing an audience of folks who considered themselves
"scientific." Calling It "synchronicity" gave him a hearing for a reality
that really has no coherent explanation in their vison.

Whether you call it "God" or "Goddess" or "the Universe" (meaning more than
the physical manifestation!) shouldn't matter.

Or whether it sends big fireballs up and down one's body or just sits there
being mysterious.

But I hope this world is RIPE! We've had 2,000 years since the dominant
culture got its wake-up call. There have been epidemics of Grace since
then--the 60's were one such--but we've always found ways to wimp out, to
suppress, to lose the Baby Jesus and put the Holy Bathwater on the
throne... We've burned ourselves into a corner by this time.

So what is the Grace of the 2000's? Something we can buy or sell? Something
like a drug we can mistake for the Spirit, worship instead of the Spirit?
Maybe the Spirit itself, this time.

My experience hasn't taken a classical "kundalini" form, so far. But there
are elements in my tradition (Quaker) that suggest that, going back to
James Nayler (who came to a bad end for witnessing to Christ within him,
which seemed like a blasphemous expression of egomania to his
contemporaries.) Some of his neglected writings--which I've heard of, but
haven't seen--mention a kind of spiralling energy he experienced.

Many "return of Christ" metaphors start making sense if you understand them
to mean a deep, widespread breaking out of the Spirit, a world-wide
Pentecost, leading to a time when "No one shall say to his neighbor, 'Know
the Lord,' for the Earth shall be full of the knowledge of God."

I think this is happening. And that the kind of unexpected kundalini
outbreaks this list deals with are part of the process. Let's process.
