Subject: [K-list] mind tension
From: Rick Mayweather
On 2004/02/27 23:00, Rick Mayweather posted thus to the K-list:
I've become semi-conscious of a tension in my mind that stops
existance/God/collective consciousness from entering into me.
It's very subtle, and it's only when i'm in a state of deep relaxation
that good things happen in my life as existance can penetrate my
being. This contrast has allowed me to become aware of this
something that I name as tension.
Almost every day modern life is a rush, a hubbub of noise and
strife and it's hard to retain that inner balance and relaxed state.
I suspect that under the tension is attachment and desire,
those 2 storms that unsettle the calm waters of the mind.
Deeper meditation, and moving toward and permanently into the
witness state will allow this unattached and relaxed perspective.
The only real answer to anything is to continue meditating (or
whatever path you choose) which I have to constantly keep
on reminding myself (including now), but I thought it may be
useful to others.
