    Hello, Ron:

You are right, I have not written much about this, except in the
context of gender, and scrying. I'll add this to the site under "symptoms",
with your consent.

It has to do with the two sides of the brain, the hemispheres.

Supposedly, women have a larger cerebral cortex, a larger bundle of
nerves joining the two sides of the brain, which is why it is easier for
women to talk about their emotions. Emotions are on one side of the brain,
and language is on the other. Men feeling emotional, tend to go "off to
their cave" or they make no sense. So a woman saying "we need to talk about
our relationship" strikes fear into the hearts of most men.

As a Pro-Dom, I used to sometimes play a game with my clients who
wanted humiliation... get them excited then ask them questions. Watch them
stammer and try to put words together.

Generalizations, of course, there are exceptions. Brilliant male poets,
artists, etc.

I suggest you get it checked with a doctor, just to make sure there is
no physical cause.. but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the sides of the
brain. Kundalini balances the hemispheres, and tends to work more from the
creative, visionary side. Your technical work is from the logical side.
The delay is the brain "switching gears."

For example, years ago when I was a graphic artist, I learned I have no
ability to do math when in creative mode... not even simple addition,
unless I count on my fingers or work it out visually. If I was making a
sign that had lettering and art, I could not design both at once.

I had to do the measuring and calculations for spacing the lettering
and the layout first, and leave room to come back and do the art graphic
later. If I tried to do the art first, my brain was completely incapable of
calculating the layout for the letters, spacing them and deciding how large
or small they had to be to fit all the text on the sign, nice and centered.
It would end up looking like that joke sign:

    THINK AHE
    AD!

I also could not do a nice realistic painting when in logical mode. It
would just turn out like mud, ugly, lifeless, no flow. So, I got really
aware of the feeling of my brain switching sides! To go from mathematical
to creative was not so bad, but going from creative to mathematical felt
like moving an old rusty railway switch by hand. Creeeeeeak!

Unfortunately, I usually was inspired to do the work when already in
creative mode, and I'd have to flip the rusty switch to do the layout, first!

It hasn't really changed, only the switch moves a little easier. My
brain tests as more balanced than it used to... Kundalini did it. I've
always been a creative artist type anyhow, so that part of my brain is more
developed... it is where I live. Lots of technical people become more
artistic or creative after awakening.

There are books around that teach technical people to switch on the
creative side.

I had one that contained several op-art geometric mandalas. If you
stare at one of these mandalas for a while, the logical brain gets bored at
the lack of information and goes to sleep, which lets the creative side
come out to play! Then the mandalas will appear to move, dance, turn 3d,
breathe, etc. as the creative brain has fun with the pattern. No surprise
that mandalas appear so often in visionary spirituality!

As a kid, I used to enjoy staring at the stucco ceiling in my
livingroom, till the pattern turned inside out and the peaks became
valleys. Next the designs would start to make shapes, similar to how people
imagine clouds look like castles and puppies.

This is the same as some types of scrying, like looking in a crystal
ball or reading tea leaves. Unconscious mind using abstract patterns to
communicate visionary guidance. The logical, ego mind konks out and the
intuitive, visionary part uses the abstract to form meaningful patterns
that are interpreted... another facet of "What you see, is yourself
reflected." Same with Rorschach tests, what you see in the ink blot is a
reflection of who you are.

There is an auditory version: sometimes the sound of my computer fan,
fridge, furnace, etc. combine to sound like a far off staticey radio
station playing hard rock music, too faint to catch the lyrics or melody.
Especially if I am doing creative or intuitive work at my computer.

Last night on my way to bed I thought the downstairs TV had been left
on, even though I clearly remembered turning it off earlier. I had to go
partway down the stairs to confirm it was just an odd combination of wind,
rain, furnace and household sounds, white noise blending into imaginary,
faint music and voices. Creative brain having fun with abstract sounds,
making music not quite heard.

So, if you want to test this out, stare at any abstract pattern until
it starts to dance, then try to remember your multiplication tables! I
think you will experience the same 20-60 second gap.
