you story sounds a lot like mine, only more severe in
terms of symtoms of tuning into the empathy.
i recently went thru my birthing process and other
such growth and development incidents and they made me
realise that my family background and other such
influen ces from home and outside made me want to
please or gain approval (which i mistook for love) and
i started manipulating people by studying them closely
and somehow tuning into their sadness and pain. This
way, the initial superiority i felt in personalities,
i was able to mock or "sympathize" with by saying" oh!
so finally u see you are only too human too and u need
me to voice your needs for you"
it had become an exaggerated sense of finding
fulfillemtn for another and the loss of self sensation
you described was fully blown psychosis as i totally
wasn't able to be me ever....that went out of control
with a love relationship and then i woke up.
tHE trick now is, to leave a critical observers seat
and find a trust seat...go to the backseat and let go
and let god...trust that old patterns will dissolve as
you accept responsibility....for now and for a change.
your abilities will transform from a manipulative way
to a more fulfilling way...before it was the
distortion now it will flow out with altruism.
BUT first, learn to take care of you....use your
analysis of others to see how you are involved in the
same act, engaging another in the same energy stealing
pattern you acccused them of.
You are absolutely right in the sense that there is no
need for sympathy for another's misery as it is self
created...but don't turn it into apathy....turn it
into a knowing where you know that there is anothers
higher self as yours and they will wake up when they
are ready...say a small prayer and trust in THEIR
wisdom and let go.
as i say all this, I too need to learn the same
patterns, so by no means am i turning teacher...
its all about sharing and learning....
so, I thank your higher self and mine for the
opportunity.
