Following the Heart way
Emotions wash me over
A wool blanket of feeling
I can not lift off
Uncomfortable
Cumbersome
This itchy gift
Burden
Plasters
Weighs me down
Enter a room
Creeping feelings
Tiptoe
Slither in
Surround me
Enclose
Layer upon layer
Passion runs high
Walk on egg shells
With my Self
Heaviness of
Substantial
Borrowed Sentiment
Tires me
Weakens
My defenses
And So
I Retreat
Once more
Cocoon
Speculate
Wonder aloud
To my swollen self
Is Numb
The only
Deliverance
Alternative?
