Dear Ben,
I'm inclined to feel that there is really no such thing as "premature"
awakening. That's sort of like saying Kundalini doesn't know what she's doing! :))
When you tell yourself that your awakening is premature, you are telling
yourself that something is "wrong." And that in turn can cause you to distrust
what is happening to you.
That is not to say of course that there aren't very difficult K awakenings.
It's interesting that you became K-awake through association with friends. K
does definitely seem to be somewhat "catching." But IMO it is not
premature--simply your time for it to occur.
My suggestion is to do some stretching exercises on a regular basis to help
keep the energy moving smoothly. I'm not sure as to the advisability of
meditation, as I don't meditate. But some say that it is unnecessary once K is
activated.
The difficulty in concentration is one of the most difficult to deal with
when one feels one has to keep control and function in the day to day world.
--but I've found when I can't concentrate, I simply let it go. Usually when I
relax and stop being concerned with it, the information comes to me quite
naturally, without effort. Sometimes this "symptom" comes to us when we are "over
achievers." K is asking us to be a little more laid back.
Hope this helps a bit.
Love, Hillary
