Dear Jeff, Guy,
Personally, I found this a great and powerful description of a meditation
technique! :)) I don't meditate, and am lucky enough to feel this ecstasy
without, but this post resonated with me as a logical way to arrive at these
states--if that is your goal.
The use of Hindu terms I realize are difficult for some. One of the first
books I read after becoming K active was Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi. I had
no knowledge of these terms when I began the book--but gradually repetition
and Maharshi's powerful voice allowed me a basic understanding. I strongly
recommend it! :))
I think it's fine to just let go, without using any intellectual technique.
It's what I do. But some find the discipline in meditation useful.
And if I am ever plagued by kidney stones again, I might very well revisit
this post! :)) To pass stones without feeling pain is indeed a wonderful siddhi!
Love, Hillary

This is how 30 years of daily meditation practice has led to ecstatic

illnesses,
such as the passing of kidney stones a few years ago, there is no pain
