Dear Rich,
Yeah, I agree that there can be no fear in non duality. :)) And once one
re-separates it is easy to pick up on bodily sensations that can translate into
fear. I suspect that one simply has to hold on to the overriding mind-less
faith that all will ultimately be well.
I ran into the following quote yesterday while following links originally
from an interesting link my twin sent me on a discussion of the Knights Templar
and Kundalini: (3 pages)
http://pub16.ezboard.com/ftheknightstemplardiscussionboardfrm8.showMessage?topicID=11.topic
"Fear knocked at
the door. Faith opened it. No one was there." anon.
Other quotes:
1. Where there is faith, fear cannot abide...
a. "Feed your faith, and your fears will starve to death."
b. "Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered. No one was there."
c. "Fear and faith cannot keep house together; when one enters, the
other departs."
-- Vern McLellan, The Complete Book of Practical Proverbs and Wacky
Wit (Wheaton: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc., 1996)
Following links I also came to the following.
http://www.shadesofpassion.net/chakras/chakrainfo.html
scroll down to:
The Demons/Tricksters of the Chakras
These being:
1. Fear--root 2. Guilt--sacral 3. Shame--solar plexus 4. Grief--heart 5.
Lies--throat,
6. illusion--brow 7. Attachment--cerebral cortex.
The fear/faith quote seems to be an old English proverb, found above the
fireplace of the Hind's head Hotel in Bray England. Martin Luther King Jr. also
quoted it. One site mentioned it is from a 19th poem. Others say it's a Hindu
proverb!
Love, Hillary
Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered. And lo, no one was there.

For Non Duality then the apparency of the other dissolves and
so with it the fear. In that state, it's difficult to conceive of fear as
thoughts (the few that are) and focus become 'spacious' and in a way more
'all-encompassing'. Fear doesn't really cross the mind (at least there seems
in my experience a latency before falling back into an unhandled response or
pattern of behaviour to something.)
What I felt was there wasn't really anything to fear *but* to fall back to
where fear is more prevalent (the slippery slide). As some say that to be
feared is fear itself.
Perhaps if that could be held firmly then non-duality may make a permanent
state. *perhaps* fear would not be what it *was* (is!).
