I can only suggest this. Keep your attention off the other person and off
the impression of the energy being depleted. Substitute K (shakti) for the
chakras that are being affected and dissolve into nothing.
Shakti will take care if you hand over to it. My experience of trying to
nudge these things just wears me down.
If you see someone as needy then you are a part and parcel of the situation.
Any people that come to you reflect aspects of yourself and even if you are
high energy and magically protected these things can show things up to be
released. Once you can see and surrender the pattern that is bringing this
into play you can free yourself up of the tugging in the situation.
I discussed this with a Lama not so long ago about how much one should give
of themselves without wearing themselves out. He invited people to call for
his help in times of need and this was also something that Shri Mataji
Nirmala Devi of Sahaya Yoga had implied 'find salvation in me'.
He suggested there was work to be done in me if I still had problems with
things externally. Not too astounding. I would say he seemed to walk his
talk though and had no doubts when he instilled Tchenzrezi whilst kids were
playing in the room and he was being filmed.

It's been talked about on this list some months back. My conclusion, is
often one is protecting them self from their own fears rather than anything
real. Surrendering the fears is a better remedy than feeding the fear
energy/attention and imagining them being blanketed / reflected away etc..
