Perhaps the problem is with our culture (and climate perhaps!). In India it
may be easier to let it all go and accept alms with a measure of dignity.
Some cultures are more supportive of the spiritually intoxicated. :)
I suspect here our common sense jumps in and says "sure perhaps I'm
spiritually better off begging on the streets--but it sure is uncomfortable!" Perhaps
the best way is the middle way. To simply strive for as simple life as
possible.
