Not sure if anyone has experience of this.
Happened to attend a 2 hour 'session' and felt inclined to make a mini
report.
There is an almost hypnotic atmosphere in the room of the practitioners.
Immediately I thought it seemed cultish. A friend who had told me about the
yoga had this thought before and mentioned it to me. Partly why I went along
as was curious.
Bit of background from their web site:

Sahaja Yoga is a unique method of meditation based on an experience called
Self Realization (Kundalini awakening) that can occur within each human
being.
Through this process an inner transformation takes place by which one
becomes moral, united, integrated and balanced.
One can actually feel the all pervading divine power as a cool breeze, as
described in all religions and spiritual traditions of the world.

In my experience, there are some concerning aspects that were mentioned in
the time:
- There was rhetoric about people being able to awaken others K at ease. No
mention of responsibility or effect of premature awakening.
- Encouraged connection to the guru (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi) in a form of
worship. Not to inner-guru although there was pre-discussion of this where
choices would be easy and problems would vanish as people would know what to
do in any situation.
- Exercises and meditation were done which had effects. There was certainly
an energetic environment and I have no doubts people (some) there were
awakened to K or were tapping into the energy beneath opening it within
themselves.
- There was no grounding but a lot of focus on crown chakra. This I guess
taking people out of there earthly focus and also maybe explain the hypnotic
feeling.
- We were told to forgive everyone and our self as one the exercises which I
see no problem with.
- The leader cherished the idea of being able to transform or change others.
(from a video we watched). I have no doubts she is powerful and draws
followers' attention through her hypnotic effect.
In general, I feel there is some workable methods for balancing K and
enjoying some benefits such as their proclaimed improved health and balance
on different aspects of oneself.
There was much focus on feeling K as a cool energy which went against my own
experiences of it been hot (at least as I felt it). Maybe this is for they
only tap into one side (Ida).
At the end of the session we were given the opportunity to feel each others
auras and send energy into one other. I refused someone's offer and felt
their disappointment. I quickly left after that.
Felt a bit irritated a few hours after and cut some ties which had been
formed. Overall interesting, but, reading the internet later cast shadows in
my mind especially from the history of the movement.
I guess there can be seen faults in any religious or cultish movement
however this one seems to have quite bad P.R. The exercises seemed to have
benefit for balancing and if nothing else could be inclined toward that but
wouldn't recommend to anyone who may easily be influenced into something
which may not be for their greater interest.
