I wonder, too, perhaps, if one can consider that Kundalini serves as a
counter to the pain that is experienced--serving both as protection and a way to get
beyond the pain. Perhaps Kundalini allows an abused child/adult a means to
enter into a whole new area of consciousness that not only provides an
"escape," but also an expansion of the human spirit.
