Hello Steve C... and all,
if we look at a moment in our lives when we have been
overwhelmed with the love for something...
... it could be a person, a child, a spouse, or just ... something...
something that we love so much.
when we look upon that thing in our lives, does it fill us
with rushing energy... every time...
... even when we are washing the dishes and watching children
play in the garden.
... even when we are typing a letter, and see the photo of our
mother on the shelf.
maybe... maybe in other ways, but i'm sure we have all sensed
that... and still been able to go about normal tasks....
being "in love" in this way... that is, a voiceless sensation which
is lost in the mere words "in love".... being this way is because
we are aware of the subtle beauty of these things we love...
and we are aware that they are part of us...
... now, if our whole being is aware to the whole of being,
the whole of god[ess]/cosmos/universe.....
if our whole being is aware, then it is also so tuned to that
love which is all being, and in all of us. the love that resonates
within us all.
perhaps...
that, anyway, is how i feel is the case...
i know that the rushing sensation of love, the breathless gasp,
the shivering spinal tickle, realising i'm not breathing... gasping,
warmth, and a feeling like 'something is being done for you'
... some one is watching over . some one is helping you breath
in the love of all life.
meditation may help, yet it may not be the path of everyone,
... everyone i think finds their own journey, and uses their
own ways... one path is not quicker or better, they are just
the ones we find...
i don't think it's a requirement to meditate for those sensations,
i personally feel that meditaion is a very useful tool to the mind and our
whole being, yet that in itself does not make it a requirement.
futher, i think that fear in the mind can rise in us if we feel
that meditation *is* a "requirement without possible exception".
imagine if i did not believe this possible, that i believed in my heart
that i could only sense (x,y or z phenomena) if in a trance state.
and then one day i am walking the dog and this sensation overwhelms
me... because i my ego is a dogmatic thing, it wants to cling on to the
old belief that this was not possible... yet the sensation is otherwise...
and so the ego self goes into panic.... and fear sets in..... never bliss...
those are my thoughts, i'm not sure if they're valid or complete, but hey,
they're my thoughts.... :-)
Steve, these are simply thoughts spurred on by your questions ,
they are not against your thoughts and questions, as i hope you understand.
Thank you all for triggering the thinking of these things...
..This "communion" ( if you would call it that ) of thoughts and words and being
- in itself - is an incredible folding of ideas, memories, sparking images
and words flashing though us...... is this to be seen as anything less
wonderous than the most proclaimed special effects in the movies.... no....
... so that in itself, when one is aware of that in it's entirety, is blissfull.
wow :)
with peace and love,
martin.
