Hi Hety & K-List,
 
I have experienced this, but not for a long time. I recalled it as I was reading your post. I used to feel that complete expansion - like being as big as the Universe, and then I would feel like I became almost like an atom - very very small - much smaller than my body. It would happen over and over again like the cycle of breathing air into the lungs, and then exhaling.
 
It was really weird. It first began occurring when I was a pre-teen, and continued on into my 20s. It happened often. I remember that it made me feel really ackward. May be that isn't the correct adjective, but it was quite disconcerting.
 
I can't explain it, but I have experienced it. At the time I thought perhaps I couldn't figure out how to fit into my body right or something. I was a kid, what did I know?
 
I would love to hear if anyone knows what this is. I have not heard of anyone else that has had this experience. Of course, it is not a likely topic one tends to bring up during a lull in a causual conversation.

Last night, for three times, I experienced my consciousness (that's the best
I can do with a description) expand outward to "everything." It was like an
explosion each time. Then, each time, it contracted back to my human-ness
as I experience my "mind." Each time my consciousness (I don't know) became
so big that it became All, until I couldn't handle it, I think, and then, in
a second, it contracted back my tiny human mind.
