millennia, part of the propaganda of genocide and war. Who is accused of
practicing it, is Christians or Witches or Nazis or Moslems or Romanians,
depending on the century.

On the other hand... death and abuse by cults practicing exorcisms are

Exorcisms are practiced by cults or religions that view evil as something
outside of themselves. Projecting our own guilt and issues onto an
external cause. Convenient to blame the devil to absolve oneself of
responsibility. All the "demons" I have encountered, turned out to be
personality splinters that needed to be integrated, not exorcised.
Repressed, angry, lonely personality splinters formed when some aspect of
themselves was denied.
Today, I'd like to blame the faeries for the disappearance and
reappearance of my ghetto blaster. I thought I had lent it to someone last
fall, and made a fuss and had many annoyed thoughts and words about them
for six months when they did not return it, and denied having it when I
asked for it back.
Friday, I grumpily surrendered and bought another one. Today druid found
the old one in an out of the way storage locker of the sailboat. Something
that has been missing for nearly a year, turns up two days after it is
replaced. Don't ya hate it when that happens?
It is probable that a guest put it there, last fall after the steering
broke on the sailboat and that area had to be hastily dissected. The guest
did not know the locker is reserved for toxic chemicals like epoxy resin
and kerosene, he just did what he could when rough seas required everything
be stowed away so as not to go flying around the cabin and maim
someone. My adjusted memory shows that I intended to loan the ghetto
blaster, agreed to do so, but could not find it at the time, to actually
give it to her before she left... ooops. I'm an idiot.
I'd prefer to blame the faeries, having experienced many extraordinary
and impossible disappearances and reappearances in the past... However, I
ate a crow instead. My friend was fortunately graceful in accepting my
apology for my false memory based accusations, as she has a worse memory
than me, and has experienced more of those kinds of faerie games, than me.
I agree, from my own personal experience, the behavior of splintered
personalities is a very, very strange phenomenon to observe and interact
with... and the cause of such splintering often is some sort of trauma, but
not necessarily the trauma that is remembered. More often, the trauma is a
reaction to events that are essentially self created. Not the abuse, but
the individuals reaction to it. Whether they repress, act out or grow
from it.
While extreme varieties of disassociation and splintering leading to
mental illness do exist, we all have that potential, to some extent. Who
you are at work may be a different persona than who you are at home, or
with friends or relatives.
As a mystic and actor, I have experienced many altered states where I am
someone else... and sometimes do not remember exactly what that person did,
until I become them again. Possession by various divinities, or alternate
aspects of myself, plus experimenting with self hypnosis since age 12. I
have observed the phenomenon of people I did rituals with, not remembering
the details later, when they came out of the higher vibration/hypnotic trance.
Who has not experienced driving somewhere one drives often, and
arriving not remembering the trip? Trance states usually produce some
amnesia, unless there is a post hypnotic suggestion or deliberate effort to
remember, as with dreams.
We also may experience alternate personalities via memories of past
lives, but whether those lives are genuine or unconscious inventions, or
bits of collective consciousness is eternally open to debate. One can say
the past life event is the source of the problem in the moment, and that
belief may be enough for resolution, so the vision is of some value. The
same is true of many dreams that give insight.
SRA accusations tho, do a lot of harm... as Paul experienced.
