Dear Shelle, List,

Yeah! The question of when and to whom to relate our experiences is a tricky
one.

 When we are first awakened, the impulse to share the enormity of what is
happening to us, especially with those we love, can sometimes be overwhelming.
But unless those people have some frame of reference, they are likely to
respond with bewilderment or fear, or simply a sort of condescension.

Before my awakening I remember listening with half an ear to a friend's
stories of his Kundalini experiences, and being slightly embarrassed, thinking that
it was simply a bizarre quirk in an otherwise rational man! LOL!

A more serious problem, though, is the lack of understanding of most of the
medical profession. If we share our experiences with the wrong person we run
the danger of being labeled "bi-polar" --a label that is likely to follow us.
One person had a K awakening while he was in the army in Korea. He told his
Chaplain of hearing a choir of angels and ended up being diagnosed as being
mentally unstable--a diagnosis which followed him in civilian life. Part of his

There is an old adage in the bible that may be apropos--"don't cast pearls
