I read it Sherri, because I knew of the Holy Grail storyline. It was pretty
formulaic, I could picture the movie it would make. I'm glad lots of people
are reading it; it may open some eyes to the possibility of the divine
feminine, and to the idea that the version of Jesus that we've had forced on us may
not be the only version. Along the same lines, I am reading Elaine Pagels'
Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas. I hope lots of people are reading it,
too, for similar reasons--the idea of Jesus as someone trying to teach the
possibility of enlightenment, and divinity within each of us, and not that he
himself was God.
