Dear List,
I was watching the latest movie of Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard" last night
and was struck by the following bit of conversation:
"GAEV. You'll die, all the same.
TROFIMOV. Who knows? And what does it mean--dying? For all we know man has a
hundred senses, and only the five known to us perish with our bodies while the
remaining ninety-five go on living."
Love, Hillary
