I am reminded of the story of the blind men and the elephant.

Well, why not expound on the trunk, calling it an elephant? Is that so great a
mis-demeanor? Someday, that trunk might grow an elephant and we'll call it
realization, even though the elephant was there the whole time. Imagine!
