My guess would be simply that we are not resistant during sleep!

I'm not sure. Perhaps it's simply enough to Exist in that nowness--nothing
else necessary. To be useful I would assume would necessitate leaving "now"
for future events.

Enough for what? is the question. IMO there will always be more, and
therefore never be enough.
