"when ur diaphraghm
increases in size abnormally, it is a logical
subsequence that there is a difference in the amount
of air u inhale, howmuch ever the difference.
this causes a condition known as hyperventillation"
Hmm, perhaps only if you forget to exhale all that air
you just inhaled? :)
------------------------------------------------------
about what u have written ,
dear nina,
isnt it a simple concept that if there was nothing u
gained from breathing in and breathing out, we would
not be doing that.would we??
or may be we might just be doing that , so that the
gods be pleased with our humble selfless service and
bestow us utopia.
we use the air we breathe.
and i thought it was in the high school child's
cognizance, that we USE this oxygen from the air, for
our metabolism.
and that the exhaled air, contains carbon dioxide,
which our body expells. thus there is a healthy ratio,
between oxygen and carbon dioxide which is maintained
by respiration, ACCORDING to our metabolic needs.(
oxygen intake and CO2 exhaled) the inhalation causes
oxygen to be automatically absorbed into the blood
from the lungs, and the exhalation sends the carbon
dioxide from the blood to the air back. carbon
dioxide is a biproduct of combustion ( i.e to provide
fuel ) . thus when ur body is not under physical
stress, no increase in metabolic rate, the CO2 given
out will be less than what the actual ratio should be.
as a result, citrate synthase , beta-hydroxyacl-CoA
dehydrogenase & cytochrome oxidase are increased
abnormally inside ur body. these are called *aerobic
enzymes*, again creating an uncalled for imbalance.
and the fact is that there is no aerobic energy demand
placed by the body. and the body senses this and then
a counter reaction! so as an effect, immunity
decreases.( imbalance in the natural immunogens)
the diaphragm excercises emphasize on inspiratory
stress, and the volume of air given out will be less
than that inhaled.( as due to ,,,described above) thus
the exhalation response is reduced. and when ur body
needs to expell the large amounts of CO2 it will not
be able to do so.
i.e during energy demand, more oxygen => more
combustion => more CO2 . but expelling rate of CO2,
would be insufficient.
if u find this is going a little over the head then u
ought to look at patients with chronic bronchitis, who
have their lungs developed with a very abnormal A/P
ratio.(anterior / posterior ratio)
as richard said, the best way to improve breathing is
by pranayama.
*prana* in sanskrit is the cosmic energy, and *yama*
means discipline. that is the discipline of prana.
which means that u focus on ur prana and breathing as
a part of the whole improves. it is of faulty
perception that pranayama is simply breathing
exercises. it is controling ur prana aspect which
effects changes in the breathing. of course once u
understand the comman seat connecting the two, a focus
on breathing will show u, and explore for you,
different aspects of the prana. both are mutually
dependent.
that was a long mail and as u said we ought to
remember to breathe out, lest i leave my bodies too
soon and not too wise (too ignorant).
A.
