Hello, A.,
You are welcome to interject. That's what message lists are about. :)
By the way, my personal sentiments re "diaphragm improving exercises" tend to
align with yours, as when you write:
"thus the lung strength and capacity of every man, is
subject to his necessity. i.e the demand for energy
his body places for him. ( which is by itself a
complex balance of chemical changes) that is the reason
u start breathing hard when u exert urself physically.
it is not good to independently and solely concentrate
on diaphraghm excercises alone. this would create an
imbalance in ur system and produce side effects u
would not expect."
I'm on the fence about gym-style cardiovascular exercise
to improve lung function, though. I can see that people
who do aerobics, ride bicycles, run and swim build what
is perceived to be lung endurance and strength. On the
other hand, those activities require the heart and lungs
to work hard, not necessarily smart. I've heard the difference
between the two described as: cardiovascular exercise
irritates the heart and lungs (leaving the heart and lungs
tired, requiring rest), while the aerobic aspects of a yoga practice (for
instance) stimulate the heart and lungs (leaving heart and
lungs invigorated and relaxed, rested).
You also wrote: (snip)"when ur diaphraghm
increases in size abnormally, it is a logical
subsequence that there is a difference in the amount
of air u inhale, howmuch ever the difference.
this causes a condition known as hyperventillation"
Hmm, perhaps only if you forget to exhale all that air
you just inhaled? :)
best,
Nina
