Subject: [K-list] Dreams of the future and glimpses of now

I have dreams of the future. Sometimes 5 to 10 years ahead. These don't
happen very often and relate to personal events in my life, people or places
and nothing else.

The future dreams mean nothing to me except for validation that events will
change, names and places will be different but things will go on.

The interesting part is that I have these glimpses every so often of
NOWness. During this split second glimpse I realise that i've been to and
visited this place or seen this person previously in my dream. It's a sense
of achievement in my life, that i've now reached that dream, it's come to
waking reality, that goalpost has been achieved.

Turiya or Nirvana, whichever term you prefer, the state beyond awake, sleep
and dreaming, I think is what i've been tapping into that has allowed
transferal of knowledge between these different states. This is like the
Self waking up, doing some work and then going back to sleep. Why does
Nirvana happen in sleep consciousness as opposed to waking consciousness is
one question that I have had.

I assume others have this experience, it feels liberating in sharing it, but
I wonder if it's anything special, if there's anything useful I can do when
I have these NOWness states.

I need to move on into full time Nirvana and I think that will only happen
with continued distance on the path. I used to think this was a great
experience, something that made me special and in a way it is, but it's no
longer enough.

I believe these glimpses of the future will happen during meditation, call
it a waking dream, but takes time to progress to that stage.
